Important Notice: Change of Ownership

Dear Client,
This is a friendly reminder regarding our change of ownership process for prepaid water and electricity meters installed by The Meter Man.
When selling your property, please inform The Meter Man and advise the new owner to contact us to complete a Change of Ownership. This ensures their details are correctly updated in our system, preventing service interruptions and ensuring smooth meter management.
Completing the change of ownership also allows The Meter Man to allocate pay-outs correctly. This is vital to avoid the municipal account falling into arrears or the municipality disconnecting the power to the property.
What the new owner will need to do:
- Contact The Meter Man within 7 days of transfer.
- Provide proof of ownership (transfer documents) and ID.
- Proof of bank account
- Complete the Change of Ownership form we will supply.
